DCCS Ground School

  • Alternate between MEV Squadron and NVWG HQ (map)

The Douglas County Composite Squadron is hosting a FREE and hybrid bi-weekly weekend ground school program for CAP members* (Senior members and cadets!!) taught by some of the most experienced CFI's you can find in the country - including airline check airmen and a former F-15 Pilot!

We will provide training and a written exam endorsement towards the FAA private pilot written exam. Emphasis will be placed on the powered aircraft written but will include topics on gliders and sUAS as needed so you can be prepared to take those exams as well if you so choose.

Meeting locations will alternate between Reno and Minden in the North, however, every meeting will be streamed if members in the North wish to attend in a hybrid manner or if members in the South wish to attend as well. We welcome you all!

To attend contact: C/A1C Audrey Topp, Capt Ivan Altunin, and 2d LT Ruth Ann Van Vranken
