Cadets and Seniors! Come help get the squadron’s sUAS (small Unmanned Aircraft System - aka drone) program off of the ground!
UAS (drone) Form 5 training and testing will take place on Saturday, 25 May, 2019. Here are the details:
Requirements:
FAA Part 107 certified
IS-3 complete https://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=IS-3
IS-5a complete https://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=IS-5.a
CAPF 70-1 exam completed after 26 Mar, 2019 (60 days prior to the Form 5) https://www.capnhq.gov/CAP.LMS.Web/Course/course_lessons.aspx?c=120
You will be tested using the CAPF 5U. You should have a working knowledge of the CAPF 109U, CAPF 91U, and the CAPR 70-1U (DRAFT INSTRUCTION). These forms were distributed via email.
Meet at the Wing parking lot at 0800. We will conduct the oral portion of the form 5 at the wing, as it will be video taped. Afterwards, we will proceed by vehicle to the mission location (N39°35'5.64" , W119°41'18.12") for the remainder of the Form 5 testing and video recording.
