The purpose of the Tailhook Association is to foster, encourage, develop, study, and support the aircraft carrier, sea-based aircraft, both fixed and rotary wing, and aircrews of the United States of America; and to educate and inform the public in the appropriate role of the aircraft carrier and carrier aviation in the nation's defense system.
Members of the Civil Air Patrol are invited to view exhibits by aerospace companies such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and aircraft engine manufacturers Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, and General Electric. FA-18 and F-35 simulators, aircraft model displays, and engine cutaways are typically on display, along with aviators and engineers that help to develop these products.
Due to long wait times associated with the simulators, I typically need 1 senior member for every 3-4 cadets. Parents of multi-sibling groups will also work. We'll meet at 9:00am on the second floor of the Nugget, at the aircraft carrier model in front of the Tailhook Registration booth.
